Pope Francis: "Traditionalism Can Be Cured"

The CNS will be 100 years old in 2020: When the Pope received him, Francis looked deeply.

(Rome) Pope Francis receive representatives of Catholic News Service (CNS) on Monday, the press agency of the American Bishops' ConferenceHe likes to “joke”, as some in Rome want to suggest. But even if Francis is joking, assuming he was really joking, he does it in a cryptic way. In this case, too.

The occasion for the reception was the hundredth anniversary of the CNS and its predecessors since 1920. First of all, the head of the Church warned the media brokers of divisions, because these would lead “nowhere”. It is also the task of the media to overcome divisions instead of fueling sensationalism and scandal.

"A divided church is not the Church, it is not the true Church."

"I think so. You think that way. We can discuss it, but with the same heart. Support the unity. Encourage you, no cleavage, because journalism has four major sins, namely: disinformation, slander, defamation and Coprophilia" as Rome Reports reported. At the same time, Francis praised the work of the Church in the United States, calling it "brave, generous, and humble."

He also said what he meant by that:

“She welcomes immigrants. What the church does for immigrants is huge, isn't it? She is generous because the Church in the United States has many economic opportunities and is generous in helping. "

Francis went on to say:

The Church in the United States “is very much alive, very very much alive. There may be traditionalist groups, but we also have them here in the Vatican. That can be cured."

Disruptive factor "traditionalism"

The most important criterion of a "living" Church is therefore, according to Francis, a policy of unrestricted mass immigration. Francis promotes this as a main agenda of his pontificate since July 2013, when he for visited the Italian Mediterranean island of LampedusaThe head of the Church has not yet named aspects that restrict a “right” to immigration.

The scientific theorist and former President of the Italian Senate, Marcello Pera, a personal friend of Benedict XVI, therefore raised the accusation against Francis in July 2017 of “hating” the West and wanting to “destroy” it.

Francis named “traditionalist groups” as a disruptive factor for a “living Church”, but traditionalism “can be cured”. What Francis put in a joking tone was actually a deliberate degradation of that part of the Church. Once again he made it clear who, above all, he dislikes. The negative tone of the statement is exacerbated by the comparison with other statements of the Pope. He implied that "traditionalism" was something that needed to be cured, in short, something sick. When did a Pope talk like this about bishops, priests and believers in the Church?

The allusion to the media representatives of the American Episcopal Conference receives special significance, since Francis this Bishops' Conference took on years ago the battle for control. In contrast to the western states of Europe, the culture war between left and right, conservative and progressive, has not been decided in the USA. Francis is aware of the importance of this fact to the rest of the western world and the world as a whole. He wants to grind this bastion and intensify the fight against the "religious rightists" in the USA after the election of Donald Trump.

Then Francis joked about his sciatica problems. His doctor told them:

"But go to the Angelus so they don't say you are dead."

A Site Dedicated to Abbé Michel in Thieberville and His Apostolic Work

Edit: we found this on the Messa in Latino site and got an approximate google translation. The sites below are in French but boast beautiful photos and show the continuing work of this great priest. Thanks be to God!

[MIL] Do you remember the heroic priest who opposed Thiberville with recourse to Rome (unfortunately lost in both instances) to his bishop Nouricchard that, under the pretext of uniting several parishes, also suppressed in that, with the double Rite (NO and EO) was the most popular and loved by the faithful and pious Catholics? Well, the good priest, who no longer has a parish but is one of the group related to the Parish of Thiberville, it has not been abandoned by his followers. Here you can find links to the site support Abbé Michel packed with news and photos of initiatives, including the Church of Folleville that has been "restored" and brought to the honor of the Catholic Rite by the indefatigable Abbé Michel, who in spite of everything, continues its defense of the rite of the Church, to celebrate coram Deo, and always wears cassock (which is very rare in France!).

Thanks to a reader for the reporting of the site.

 And thanks to Abbé!

Traditionalist to Replace +Bruskewitz and Discipline in L.A.

Bishop Conley
Update: one reader also informs us:

Some more details about Bp. Conley: He was college roommates with Fr. James Jackson, F.S.S.P., and has com to our parish several times to say the TLM and administer Confirmation. He also celebrated the first Pontifical Solemn Mass in over 40 years at Denver's Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart. I believe he's also done Ordinations for the Fraternity.

Edit: It's not Fabian Socialism, it's His Lordship, Bishop Bruskewitz. There are a couple of new appointments and Episcopal acts which are encouraging.  The first one is the appointment of the new Bishop of Lincoln Nebraska, who is probably a Traditionalist. We are told that he spent a period of discernment at Fontgambault and was a student of Dr. John Senior who was close to Monsignor Lefebvre.

The news was reported by VIS.

Additionally, in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Archbishop Gomez has stepped up and taken care of some dissidents.

LOS ANGELES, September 14, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A priest who helped found a gay ‘marriage’ advocacy group for Catholics has been suspended from distributing the sacraments or representing himself publicly as a cleric by his bishop.
The National Catholic Register reported Monday that Archbishop Jose Gomez of Los Angeles had spoken to Rev. Joseph Palacios, co-founder of “Catholics for Equality” (CFE), a small group created two years ago with strong connections to the Human Rights Campaign.
Palacios described the purpose of his outreach at Princeton University in February 2011, where he called the Church’s faithful the key target for effecting cultural shift in favor of homosexuality.

Tradition: Solemn Vows in Mariawald

Edit: such a great feast for a profession as St. Pius V.  Mariawald is the only Trappist monastery in all of Germany.

The powerful  Schola of the Gregorian Chorale, the Mass of Angels, of incense, the candles and not least of all the language of the Church transforming the church into the forecourt of Heaven.

(kreuz.net)  On April 29th Brother Maria Johannes OCSO made his solemn vows at the Traditional Abbey of Mariawald.

From the Website of the Trappist
Abbey Mariawald With Photos of
Solemn Profession of Vows
The contemplative cloister is located in the vicinity of the 4,400 population city of Heimbach in the Diocese of Aachen.

Many faithful gathered for the solemn liturgy.

A Forecourt of Heaven

Only for such a joyful feast does the rarely used organ sound out in Mariawald.

The powerful Schola of the Gregorian Chorale, the Mass of Angels, of incense, candles and not least of all the language of the Church transformed the church into a forecourt of Heaven.

Commitment instead of Lust

The profession itself began after the Gospel.

Abbot Josef Vollberg addressed the candidates.

He noted then that the profession is a contradiction to the decadent society, that it is calculated to be of commitment from beginning to end.

Indeed the monk forsakes the lust of the world for riches.

The Profession

Then Brother Johannes sang his Profession, which he had previously been written on parchment.

He then signed it.

The document was laid at teh altar and then presented to the Abbot.

Humbly Prostrated

The newly professed knelt down before the Abbot and his brothers.

Then the Schola sang many verses of the Miserere-Psalms.

Brother Johannes laid himself down as a sign of his humility before the steps of the altar.

In four solemnly intoned prayers the Abbot bid the grace of God for the monk.

The Holy Ghost Rises on High

Finally the monk takes up his mantle and receives the blessed cucullus

It effects, with a distinctive bag formed cowl -- Cucullus --  a striking white monastic robe.

During the vestiture the hymn "Veni Creator" was sung.

The Crown of Life

Additionally,  Brother Johannes had received the rite of tonsure in the form of a corona.

It is a sign of conforming, to subjugation to the will of Christ.

The corona symbolizes the hope, from Christ himself,  who promises "the crown of life".

Foremost is Prayer

The Pontifical Mass and the solemn Profession were concluded after more than two hours.

Whereupon immediately began the mid-day prayer in choir.

It underscores love and the monks' consciousness of duty, which does not allow that the Liturgy is something to be put off.

The Reception Must Wait

The reception for the celebrating friends and guests had to wait.

The women of the Cloister restaurant provided a vegetarian buffet.

In the future Brother Johannes will be preparing himself for priestly ordination.

In the Dark of Night

The life of the Trappist is completely defined by prayer in choir.

In the deep of night they arise at 3 am and sing in the first of the eight liturgical hours.

The last takes place at 7:15 pm.

Coincidence? St. Pope Pius X's Coat of Arms Resemble New Patriarch's

(Venice) The Spanish Vaticanist José Fernández de la Cigoña has published on his blog La cigüeña de la torre the coat of arms of the sainted Pope, Pius X and those of the newly appointed Patriarch of Venice, Msgr Francesco Moraglia, appointed as the new Patriarch of Venice on January 31st.  Both have elements of the honorific of the Patriarchate of Venice.  Giuseppe Melchiore Sarto,  the former Pope Pius X, adopted these arms from 1896-1903, which was once associated with the world famous palace chapel of the Doge of Venice.

The Patriarch, Francesco Moraglia, whose chosen coat of arms upon taking his chair as Patriarch on the 25th of March,  correspond almost congruently with the arms of Pius X, who as his predecessor 115 years ago, occupied the same office.

The arms show the golden lion of St. Mark in the upper part on a silver field.  The lower part shows a golden star in the upper half of the light blue field (heaven), which symbolizes the Virgin Mary, the eight points themselves represent the number of the beatitudes. In the lower half is the alternating dark blue and silver of the churning sea and a black anchor [chastity].  The only difference between the arms of Pius X is a crenelated silver wall with an open gate arch between heaven and the sea, which is a play on the new name of the new Patriarch.

The Spanish Vaticanist suspects that this is not an accident, as far as what will be confirmed.  The coat of arms  was greeted by the new Patriarch of Venice in a conscious imitation of his predecessor, Giuseppe Melchiorre Cardinal Sarto, the later Pope Pius X, as he himself stated.  "That doesn't look bad to me. On the contrary", so says Cigoña

Patriarch Moraglia, born in 1953, from Genoa, was ordained a priest by Giuseppe Cardinal Siri.  He is considered to be a Sirian and a Ratzingerian and is expected to be named a Cardinal in the next Consistorium, which will probably take place at the end of 2013.

A remnant of a Catholic Spain

Recently one of our Eponymous Flower correspondents traveled to Avila, Spain, birthplace of Queen Isabel the Catholic, St. Theresa of Jesus, St. John of the Cross, and St. Peter of Alcantara. Since the evil socialist government of Jose Luis Zapatero came to power in 2004, little by little monuments which commemorate General Francisco Franco, the victory of Spain over communism, and the martyrs of the Red Terror have been removed. In 2007, the Spanish government mandated the removal of these monuments by law under "La ley de memoria histórica." In many places street names having to do with the Catholic side during the war have been changed to generic names. Nevertheless, if you really search you can still find many monuments to Franco and Catholic Spain. The execution of the removal of the plaques and monuments is left up to the municipalities. Some areas of Spain with a conservative majority have rebelled and quietly left the monuments and plaques as they are. Here is one such plaque that can still be found in Avila. We will leave the exact location of this plaque a secret so that Zapatero's henchmen do not disturb it.

Here is the English translation of the plaque:

"Franco 1936-1938
In this city, birthplace of Saint Theresa of Jesus and capital of the Province which saw the birth of the great Queen Isabel the Catholic, no offense against the morals of Christ will be tolerated under any pretext.

Avila is loyal and will not betray those who gave their lives for God and for Spain during this glorious crusade.

Avila- May 1941 Up with Spain! Long live Christ the King!"

Traditionalist Carlist Communion in Spain Plans Response to Church Desecrations

In solidarity with Catholics in Spain, we wanted to draw attention to what they do when faced with the desecration of their churches in a society increasingly hostile to the Church. Numerous desecrations of the churches in Spain, and in particular, an assault on the Madrid University Chapel last year, are prompting not just a vocal response or petitions to the authorities, who will in any case do nothing, but action on the part of the Traditionalist Carlist Communion in Spain.

Students there don't just sit around and wring their hands. They plan things. Here are the following Google x-lations:

We hereby inform you our warmest congratulations for the initiative announced for next April 14 (round table with the title: RETURN OF THE PERSECUTION AGAINST THE CHURCH?).

The organization of this round table is a brave and necessary in a climate of growing anti-clericalism and Christophobia. On the other hand is what is expected of an institution, the University, born to intellectual thought and the pursuit of truth.

We are encouraging our members and supporters to disseminate, support and assist such an act. The desecration of the college chapels featuring anti-Christian groups, and other recent attacks and some sacrilegious calls are announced, they should not go unanswered. It is therefore necessary to achieve a unity of action of all Catholics to defend the rights of the Church. In this effort can always count on the Carlist.

Reiterating our disposal for any specific help we could provide, receive a cordial greeting in Xto. Rey, Rey,

Javier Garisoain Javier Garisoain

Secretario General de la CTC Secretary General of the CTC

Here's another report with a petition you can sign:

We implore you to act in defense of freedom of the Church.

We all wish it had not happened, but there are the desecration of the chapel and the announcement at the municipality of Somosaguas is without any governmental reaction. There will be an anti-Christian procession on Maundy Thursday. Are you one of those who want to think that only a cold spring, as soon as it happens will simply go? Do you think the current governmental system will take appropriate measures to stop the proliferation of such repugnant acts? Do you think the complaints will have an effect? Are you one of those that close a newspaper or switch channels when they hear news like that? Or, finally, you are not aware that something has just begun, and do not know what to do or think?

The next day 14, THURSDAY, 12:30, in the School of Law of the UCM, round table with the title: RETURN OF THE PERSECUTION AGAINST THE CHURCH? We will speak clearly of that, we will analyze the current situation of anti-Catholic persecution, and will extract the lessons of history.

Speakers: Dona Consuelo Martínez-Sicluna, Father Ángel David Martín Rubio, José Javier Esparza and Jose Miguel Gambra.

Event organized by the Association Francisco de Vitoria University Forum in strong protest against the sacrilegious acts recently committed in the chapels of the UCM and in general, the persecution suffered by the Catholic Church in our university and Spain. The results can be viewed shortly at: www. forouniversitariofv . blogspot. com

Read it, spread it and do your best to attend.
